Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz has made a name for himself as one of the good guys, and regularly gives back to the community thanks to his TRU Foundation. Knowing what it’s like to grow up in some not-so-easy circumstances, 2 Chainz is now using his platform to give back to those who really need it, and just this week he upped the ante a little for Dierdre Plater.
A single mother and a veteran, Plater recently underwent surgery and has been looking for a job for nearly a year. Things were getting pretty tough indeed, before ol’ Tity Boi came along and literally changed her life.
Not only did he arrive with a U-Haul full of furniture in tow, but he also offered to pay Plater’s rent for a full year, which naturally made her dissolve almost instantly into tears.
“It’s hard to keep gas in the car, food in the house, and do everything by myself being a single parent,” Plater told CBS46.
Coming along for the ride were 2 Chainz own children, but it was Plater’s son, Isaiah that really stole the show, hitting one hell of a clean dab on camera. A portion of his donation was funded by his recently launched line of Ugly Christmas Sweaters, which features dabbing Santas, weed leaves and – you guessed it – two chains for all your gangsta Christmas needs.
