Some are calling Fetty Wap Rookie of the Year, some are calling him a hip-hop feminist, one 10-year-old boy calls him an inspiration, and his grandma just wishes he would pull up his pants. As for myself, I am calling him legit, and his new EP For My Fans is no exception.
The EP totally lives up to its name, featuring five tracks compiled of three freestyles and two original cuts, which should not only appease the Fetty fans, but pull in a few more of the as-yet-uninitiated. For added star power, For My Fans features guest appearances from his fellow Zoo Gang members House Party & Cartel Lb.
There is no denying Fetty’s rise to the top of the freshmen crew in 2015, with his self-titled debut opening at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning him an impressive two American Music Award nominations. He was also the first act to have his first four singles chart in the top 10 on the Hot Rap Songs chart simultaneously, Trap Queen, 679, My Way and Again.
