Watch friendships’ Insane New Video

Ahead of their appearance at New York City’s CMJ this weekend, Melbourne audio-visual duo friendships have released one of, if not THE video of the year for their double single P2M//DSK. Created by one half of the duo, Misha Grace, the evolving creative monster of a song now has the visuals to match and the results are even more insane than we ever thought in the best way possible.

Featuring paintings by Grace herself, movement by Jessie Tokumbo Oshodi and a lot of politically charged imagery, the 5 and a half minute clip is sensory overload in all the right ways. From the aural assault of the track itself to the stimulating clip which is what I would imagine brainwashing to look at, Misha and other half Nic Brown have wholly outdone themselves with this one. Strap yourself in and check the clip below.

With each release they get stronger and stronger, moving and and creating as one being. Having caught them in action just recently at BIGSOUND, I can say with confidence that this is one duo you don’t want to sleep on. They’re innovative, animalistic, incredibly cohesive and relentlessly ambitious. With Grace on the visuals and Brown on the beats, it’s no wonder they’re playing at CMJ. In fact, I believe it is only a matter of time before they truly blow up, and rightfully so.
