Watch Chromeo and Ezra Koenig Perform Together

If you’re anything like me, you’ve just spent the past weekend pouring over social media regarding all things The Governor’s Ball which descended onto New York City. Boasting a star studded line up, as well as an all-star audience, this is definitely one of my dream festivals and I am determined to go one year when I stop spending all my money on gigs here and start saving…

Thankfully, however, the Internet exists and is a powerful tool in letting me feel like I was kind of there, with a plethora of fan footage videos popping up left, right and centre over the duration of the festival. Perhaps the best of these was of the surprise performance where Chromeo brought out none other than Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend fame for a one time mash up of Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa and Bonafide Lovin’. The video is worth watching for the crowd’s reaction to Koenig’s appearance alone and the guy screaming, “OKAY! OKAY!”, but stick with it to see some absolutely flawless performing by both guys.

It’s not the only time the pair have worked together, and it turns out they’re a pretty amazing combination. Just listen to this collaborative track from back in 2010, Chromeo’s I Could Be Wrong ft. Ezra Koenig.
