Pint-sized singer Ariana Grande has spoken out in a lengthy twitter post against what she see as a double standard of treatment between men and women and the media. The outburst was triggered by the recent media coverage of her now defunct relationship with rapper Big Sean.
The 21-year-old ended the eight month relationship after the rapper referenced their sex life in one of his songs, saying, “I got a million-dollar chick with a billion-dollar p–sy/Every time I come, I swear to god I feel rich.”
In a small snippet from the extensive statement, the Problem singer says, “I meant what I said about not being Sean’s ex is that I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present or future,” she wrote. “I… do not. belong. to anyone. but myself. and neither do you.”

The move has earned her praise from Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber’s manager), Rita Ora and fellow popstrel Taylor Swift, who tweeted this in support:
@ArianaGrande I’m so proud of you, always. But especially today. “She will need her sisterhood.”
