Watch The Edge of U2 literally go over the edge

After a string of bad luck has befallen the iconic band, it seems some of its members have finally gone over the edge…

Literally.

In a sheer coincidence of nicknames and accidents, U2 guitarist David Howell Evans, a.k.a The Edge, literally fell off the edge of the stage while playing their first show in Vancouver last night as a part of the band’s Innocence + Experience World Tour.

Have a look at his tumble in this footage captured by a fan:

Fortunately the damage wasn’t too bad, with the Irish rocker posting this photo to Instagram to reassure fans:

“Didn’t see the edge, I’m ok!! #U2ieTour

This isn’t the first time a band member has ended up with a few scarps and bruises, with Bono injuring himself while riding his bike in Central Park last November, requiring surgery for 5 hours to fix a facial fracture.

And the injuries add to a list of woes for the band, who were slammed last year for automatically downloading a copy of their Songs of Innocence EP into every iTunes user on the planet. And that’s not including the recent death of drummer Larry Mullen Jr’s father. 2015 is looking like a rough one for the band.
