Tenru finally releases an EP

Perth producer Tenru is one of my favourite personal discoveries of 2015. His beautiful, swelling, delicate tunes are something to marvel at, with such limited experience but such great potential and talent to spare.

The self titled 5-track release (the fifth is a bonus track when you purchase the release via his Bandcamp) features Oceans, which has been the soundtrack to my life for some time now. It also features 4 new songs: Ever See, Warm Welcome and Changing Koto. The best thing about this EP is the ability to span a multitude of genres, all the while keeping things cool, calm and collected.

From the hip-hop stylings of Ever See, with it’s textured electro and dominant beats; the lush, sprawling soundscape of Oceans; the summery, tropical and unsurprisingly warm vibes of Warm Welcome, and the delicate intricacies of Changing Koto, Tenru is delivering releases that not only raise the bar amongst his peers, but completely smashes through the ceiling onto a level entirely his own.

Tenru’s self-titled EP is available now, and I can’t urge you enough to purchase it. If you need some convincing, you can stream it below to hear for yourself. There is no way this guy is going to stay a secret for long!
