Listen to the new Eves the Behavior track, ‘Electrical’

Eves the Behavior, AKA Hannah Karydas, has just released a new single, Electrical. This Brisbane-born 20 year old is definitely going places.Produced by Eves the Behavior with Adam Spark, as well as mixing and production from Eric J, the song is sort of dark, ghostly pop with a real Sky Ferreira/ CHVRCHES vibe to it.

Formerly known as just Eves, Eves the Behavior re-emerged earlier this year with new track TV. She then wowed us at Laneway Festival, and it’s been uphill from there. Having recently signed to ATC Management, who look after legends like Nick Cave and PJ Harvey, she’s also supported Sky Ferreira and Courtney Barnet on tour. Next, we’ll be catching her in action at Splendour in the Grass this July.

The lyrics “I’m synthesised but profound,” are definitely words that will stick with you and grate at your mind, making you search for some deeper meaning within the song. This is a really shimmery, ethereal pop song, with a chilled but eerie sound that is sure to have you listening to it over and over.

Eves had this to say about the track: “I feel like it’s commenting on the friction between the organic / analogue and the synthetic / digital and the quest to find a meaningful connection between the two. The song is triumphant but it’s also bittersweet. I stumbled out of a sort of numbness into both beauty and gloom. And the simple fact of feeling something made me woozy and victorious at the same time.”

If you’re into supporting local artists, and you should be, you can purchase the track on iTunes, here. If you want to give it a listen first, do so below.
