In Colour may not be released for another couple weeks yet, but luckily Jamie xx has let us stream his new album early. But that’s not all: the stream of the album is complete with visuals so you will not only be able to hear it, but also see it. Talk about taking the listening experience to the next level!
Designs of geometric shapes coloured by every colour of the rainbow accompany each of the eleven tracks. As you watch, you can allow the music to seep into your veins as each of your senses are engulfed by the incredible atmosphere of the album. Also feaured on In Colour are the xx’s Romy, Young Thug, Oliver Sim and Popcaan. Don’t tell me you’re not excited about this.
Jamie xx has also revealed to Triple J that he is currently working on a new album from The xx. “There’s definitely one song that started as a song for my record that is now on the next xx album,” he revealed.
He continued: “[There’s] a bunch of sounds and ideas that we’ve made along the way for whatever. Maybe for my album – it doesn’t really matter to me.”
