Listen to the new track from Giorgio Morodor feat. Charli XCX

At age 75, Giorgio Morodor, most recognised for his collaborations with Daft Punk, has announced that he will be releasing his first album in 30 years. Diamonds features Charli XCX, currently in town for Groovin The Moo. It’s one of the 12 tracks set to feature in Morodor’s album, Déjà vu, which will also see collaborations with a huge range of pop stars including Sia, Britney Spears and Kylie.

Diamonds is a super fun song and has a real 80’s dance pop feel to it. Charli XCX’s voice sounds incredibly powerful in this track, and combined with the rich synth that Morodor is renowned for, it’s catchy, invigorating and an exciting precursor of what’s to come. The album is set to be a fun, electronic dance album, which suggests that Morodor may be revisiting his original sound. Morodor confirmed this recently, with a post on his Facebook stating, “Once you listen… you’ll feel it… déjà vu.”
