Caribou releases music video for ‘Can’t Do Without You’

There is no doubt that Caribou had one hell of a year last year, with the release of his second studio album (sixth for real name Dan SnaithOur Love. One of the absolute stand out tracks on that record – though the whole record is superb – is Can’t Do Without You, so it’s only fitting it has an equally stand out film clip.

Thankfully, Snaith has pulled through, and today has released the accompanying visuals for the anthemic tune. Directed by Lorenzo Fonda, the clip hones in on the apparent simplicity of the track, as well as the interconnectedness of sight and sound. Featuring a small boy as our lead character, the scene moves in time with the music as a massive, brightly coloured kite-like fish soars above him*. It’s beautiful, sweet and fun, just like the song, but also spans across quite a few different emotions as you would expect with a song title like this one.
