Collarbones are Going On Tour

After the release of their third album, Return, to critical acclaim last year, Marcus Whale (read our interview with him for another one of his projects, Black Vanilla HERE) and Travis Cook – together known as Collarbones – are heading off on tour!

Known for their prowess not only in the studio, but on stage as well, 2014 saw the duo really step up. Not only did they release what might be their most reputable album yet, they also performed at OutsideInBeyond The Valley and Field Day among others. Now, they’re taking their huge live show on the road for a four-date tour around the country!

Return was definitely a highlight for 2014 for me. Featuring the impossibly infectious, dance-inducing-whether-you-like-it-or-not Turning and the powerfully emotive Oscar Key Sung collaboration, Only WaterReturn is the break up album you didn’t know could be. Facing reality and the feelings we’d rather not acknowledge after splitting up with our once-beloveds, it’s the combination of deft lyricism, production, Marcus’ incredible voice and the fact they made this whilst living in different cities that makes the record what it is. Seriously, did you see the Turning clip?!

Hitting Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth (sadly no Queensland shows???), they’ve also locked down HTMLflowers (Sydney and Melbourne), Yoke (Sydney), Strict Face and Sparkspitter (Adelaide) and Philippa Omega (Melbourne) for support slots! See the full dates below, jump on those tickets and experience Collarbones in all their dance glory!
