Zola Jesus goes dreamy for latest clip

Zola Jesus has quickly become one of this year’s most talked about acts, and current single Go (Blank Sea) is one of my favourite tracks of 2014. I think she must have tuned into my yearning to see it re-created live, and answered me by releasing footage her performing the track live at Webster Hall in New York City!

Having released her debut album, TAIGA in October, Zola Jesus has been busy touring the world and introducing us all to her incredible set of pipes and perfectly ethereal sound. The beautiful clip captures the transcendant nature of the song, as well as epitomising her as an act we should all be keeping our eyes on. Shot in black and white, and packed with shadow and light effects, the clip lets the music do the talking; merely complimenting the already powerful and complete sound and visually stunning performance. Also known as Nika, she says of the clip, I thought it was important to memorialize the show”.

That’s not all from the ZJ camp, though! After supreme cool-dude Diplo dropped a remix of Go, a remix album from TAIGA was also released today. All remixes have been taken from the album, into a new collection titled TOMORROW.
