You may know Nicholas Allbrook from his various musical endeavours (frontman of POND, one half of Allbrook/Avery, drummer for Peter Bibby, ex-bassist of Tame Impala…), but if you aren’t acquainted with his latest solo release – now is the time to change that!
Allbrook has just released the accompanying visuals for his latest track, Did I Just Arrive Here? in all it’s bizarre glory. I mean, who doesn’t love a hoverboarding dog catapulting into the sky at breakneck speed past a backdrop of futuristic pyramids?! Having teamed up with James Spinks who directed the clip, Spinks said, “I wanted to give the video-clip that same sort of scrappily-made feel, but for it to still dazzle, as does Allbrook himself!”
Nick has also been announced as a support act for two shows on the Ariel Pink tour next year, in Sydney and Melbourne, which makes me curious to see just how strange a night can get with those two sharing the stage!
