Trainspotters turns 2!

What has become a go-to Saturday night plan in Brisbane is set to turn two years old next month. That’s right, TRAINSPOTTERS has been around for 24 months. How the time flies… To celebrate, they’ve managed to do what only they do best, and have curated a lineup that packs more than a few punches!

Headlining the night will be TONSTARTSSBANDHT (yes, Mac DeMarco‘s guitarist’s other band). The US brothers have been doing the rounds with their unique brand of rock for a few years, and are now bringing their live show to Australian audiences. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m really fucking excited about this. You can hear one of my favourite tracks by them below. Actually, listen to the whole album. Thank me later.

Supports are a more local affair, with local psych outfit MORNING HARVEY also on board for the evening. Their recently released single T.I.D.E has been making waves (pun intended), and after their successful BIGSOUND showcase and recent tour, things are looking pretty good for these guys.

TEMPURA NIGHTS will be there too. If you’re unfamiliar with these guys, give their track R.I.P CHIX a listen, and that will quickly change. As well as this, fellow local rockers TWIN HAUS will also be playing. These guys recently wrapped up a tour in support of their huge track, Blood Tapes which, in my humble opinion, is one of the strongest songs I’ve heard this year. Genre bending at it’s finest, these guys are bound for big things.

Trainspotters 2nd Birthday is on December 20 at The Grand Central Hotel, as always. Tickets start off at $15 and you can get them HERE.
